Dummy run......

...on a First Aid course at church today. 

An extremely helpful and accessible course delivered by a fire fighter I first knew as a young six year old. A refresher course for the majority of us with good practical sessions...and times of fun and laughter too. 

We covered a wide range of circumstances where we might be the first person on site to deliver the aims of first aid, to P P P ....Preserve life, Prevent the situation worsening, and Promote recovery. However....

 "It is important to ask for the casualty's consent before giving first aid. Touching someone without their permission could be classed as assault. If the casualty is unconscious however, the law allows you to assume that they give consent to your help."

In my extra, someone is checking his wife is still breathing.....

Oh, and dummy is now replaced by mannequin. A less derogatory term....

The results of the multiple choice assessment at the end of the day will determine whether I get my certificate.
