Sir Nils Olav

We had a family day out to Edinburgh Zoo and happened to meet Brigadier Sir Nils Olav, a king penguin. He was given a promotion to Brigadier last year and, for a reason which I can’t get my head around, he is an honorary member of the king of Norway’s guard. Quite a feet for a penguin.

We had a grand visit to the zoo and stopped to catch up with some friends on our way home. I also got quick run around the park and a couple of hours in my studio shed this evening, I couldn’t ask for more.

I totally forgot to get my camera out today, best laid plans and all that.
