Wound up in Wexford

Beech

It's brighter today, but goodness, it's cold.  This small beech is at the bottom of our garden.  Our garden task for this summer is to sort out the area behind the beech, against the shed wall.  Currently occupied by roses in pots, which have been pretty thoroughly neglected.  They will need a good prune, and we'll move them to a more visible spot.  And I think we will create a bed for summer flowers in their place.

I've done 30mins on the exercise cycle, wandered briefly down the garden for this photo, and am now going to settle in the garden room with my stitching.

W has been out in the garden, radically pruning a rather old and sprawling buddleia.  He wanted to fill the garden waste bin as it is due for collection tomorrow and was empty.
