Baobab

My involvement in our Liberia programme is ramping up, which is exciting but also devastating for an email inbox. At least in meetings to discuss some interviews we're conducting over the next couple of days, Michelle shared some purple baobab seeds to chew on. Not many workplaces benefit from this perk.

Rumours seem confirmed that the South Sudan embassy in London has closed due to non-payment of rent. This is creating some logistical challenges for trip planning, but is in the usual spirit of travel there: that of always being complicated.

In the evening we had one of our regular trustees meeting for the work we do with refugees. I am sometimes frustrated at the lack of dynamism and lucidity in decision-making but overall it was a productive few hours.

In Cambridge city centre there is usually a well to do middle aged person pushing a bike near the market.
