A Bold Hippopotamus...

Another brilliant day in Kruger Park today - 2 separate trips - one with the early morning start and one with a late afternoon start.  We have seen more beautiful and fascinating creatures and had time to look at the landscape around us a little more today

I loved the hippo we found in the waterhole at dusk today - he proved surprisingly playful showing off many of his physical features, some of which you can see in the main blip, and others in extras.

I loved the leopard and her cub which everyone on out transport was so pleased to see.  She was about 200 metres away and the image is not good, but it was the best I could do at the time and I am very pleased to have it.

I also loved the beautiful colours in the African Kingfisher.  You can see these in the extras.

We are all very tired now - and there's another early start tomorrow to get us back to Johannesburg in time for our flight down to Port Elizabeth.

We certainly will never forget Kruger.
