Another Day, Same Hospital, Different patient

Thank you all for your concern for Dad yesterday.  He seems to have recovered - he's painted the scrapes with touch up paint and thins he might carry on driving until his insurance runs out in a couple of months.  I'm afraid that I made the point that he might kill somebody before then.  He says he won't go out in the car.  He tells me what he thinks I want to hear...

Anyway, we had a dual purpose to visiting the hospital today - visiting Mom and Rob had a consultant's appointment.  He has been struggling a bit lately and the lovely consultant diagnosed what we suspected was the problem - that he has Parkinson's Disease.  We knew that really, but it was a relief to have someone tell us officially.  She really was an excellent thorough and thoughtful consultant and we have confidence that we will get the help we need from her and the Parkinson's nurse at the hospital.  So we are armed with more pills than ever before to take on holiday but are pleased that the treatment can start so quickly.

Then we went up to see Mom who was with two young physios who had got her standing but there is still no leg movement at all.  AND her teeth have gone missing...

Hey ho!

Oh, and this is the self service check in machine for out patients.  It seems to fool a lot of people - we only needed 3 attempts...
