The Heated Wall

After an extended and very enjoyable lunch, we trundled a few miles up the A5 to Weston Park.  We were very pleased to find the Walled Garden open and we spent some time wandering around there before going into the Granary to look at GC's exhibition.  This is a shot of the Heated Wall in the Walled Garden although it wasn't heated today.  On the other side of the wall there would have been fruit like nectarines and peaches and the heat of the wall would have been u sed to protect the blossom from potential cold in the spring time. On this side of the wall in this shot, you can see the stove houses and the chimneys.  Each stove house would heat approximately 40 feet of wall.  I also loved the textures and colours in the wall too.  We wandered around the garden with Loosecanon and Technophobe so I will be interested to see their Blips for today.

We enjoyed GC's exhibition in the gallery.  I liked the drone shot of Weston House and Park and I liked the one of the lane outside the park with the park wall running alongside.  We spent a fair time in there working out which were our favourite shots and then we discovered the Kiddies Table and the Selfie Frames.  Our arms weren't long enough to take selfies so Jane and I enlisted the help of Rob and Peter in becoming exotic buxom women...  Please see the extra shot.  I think the two people on the reception desk must have been slightly bemused by us...

A lovely day in good company.  We think Weston Park would be a really good place for a Blipmeet!  Pity we didn't make it on Sunday...
