Monarch

Aptly named, don't you think.  Truly the Monarch amongst butterflies.

We had to go to OGH for a Committee Meeting this afternoon which was a tad more exciting than usual.  First of all we are going to have a Vice-Regal visit in the middle of March.  The Governor of South Australia and his wife will be paying us an official visit for morning tea and a tour.  It really is an honour, and we have a month to get it all together.

Secondly we had a letter offering us a donation of a piano that belonged to the famous aviators Sir Keith and Ross Smith.  It will be accepted, naturellement, and then we must decide where to put it.

Then to wrap things up the Rower and I took a stroll around the garden, which is looking absolutely awful.  We have been advised that the Gov and his missus are keen gardeners.

Yes well, thanks for that snippet.  It's been so hot and dry, but we do have four weeks to get it into shape.

I have to say one thing - my life is never boring.
