Wash Out

A total wash out at the AOG (Alternate Olympic Games) with rain, sleet and driving winds making the competitions positively dangerous, especially  the airborne events which made the tinies looking out of the trees and bushes quite apprehensive.

The Shrikes were passing the time doing some local foraging on the floor, waiting for a window in the weather to resume the tree top Tag and Release Event. This contest is especially difficult for all Shrikes as they have to be very self controlled in that tagging is easy but the release ....no. Very unsporting but it goes against their instinct especially when feeling peckish!

Numerous officials and cameras have been placed on the course to make sure there are no transgressors to avoid the last Olympic debacle where the entire lizard team was found hanging hidden on a branch behind the cafeteria!

Gazza Grey seen here, has returned this year after being fined for numerous snatch, grab and eat offences. Surreptitiously looking over his shoulder he suspiciously appears to be checking out the whereabouts of the lenses ....hmmm. Something to watch I feel. I will be following!
