Subtle Variations

There were indeed subtle variations in the greyness today but they were only subtle.  Rain and wind later has made it most definitely a day for staying indoors.

A meeting this morning with the bosses from work concluded with an agreed 'career break,' an option that allows me six months unpaid leave.  At the end of that period I either return to work or resign.  I've been treated very fairly, no complaints at all.  It's not possible to say which way it will go at the end of the summer, that is mostly out of my control.

Yet another kitchen warmed crocus tonight.  A pot of seedlings of Crocus sieberi.  Sown in 2014, it's the first time these have flowered.  Very little of the purple markings that are typical for this species plus, unusually, a subtle creamy wash on the outer petals.  Another variation.
