Waiting

As I left home this morning Coco sat mournfully on the doorstep, looking as if she would sit there waiting until I came home. In reality she soon disappears off foraging, looking for mice or else goes back indoors through her cat flap to find a warm spot to sleep.
I drove across the county for one of my regular lunches. I went through the back roads and the villages looked lovely in the sunshine. By the time I drove home again, travelling west, the sun was in my eyes. There was trouble on two of the local motorways so the traffic jams spread out into adjoining roads and there was slow moving traffic in all directions. I imagine it will be horrendous by the time rush hour develops.
