Experts

I had actually (nearly) posted this at 6:00 pm on 15th after writing a 1000 word rant on bigots, double-standards, liers, the safety afforded by Blip, the question of whether we Blipers were hiding our heads in the sand (NO), "Never forget" and "Never again", senseless lost young lives, living in the colonial past (that applies to flintlock musket days in the Wild West as much as Etonian bad copies of Olde English Sheepdogs).

Then at about word 976, I hit the wrong button and all was lost, yet again. When will I learn? I gave up, ate dinner, drank a beer and fell asleep on the sofa.

It was all brought about by the photo above, taken at 7:00 am. After two spectacular days with cloudless skies, I knew today had to be another one and would later give me a super sun-soaked Blip.

It is, after all, the age of not believing experts, not even the experienced ones. The UK Met Office "expert" Michael Fish got it spectacularly wrong in October 1987, so why trust the Biblical warning.

No, today was a day for the great outdoors and shake off the nonsense of "A big red bus in the morning, ......" and "drain the swamp". Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day .......

By late morning the snow was back, followed by hail, then rain and by the time of the afternoon dog walk,  continuous rainfall.

This mornings expert warning was purely beginners luck.

Will we ever learn?
