FlowerFriday16_2018: Native Violet

This is the Common Blue Violet (Viola sororia). It's a native here in North Central Florida and blooms during the final throes of Winter. They pop up everywhere and are a joy to see.
Sincere thanks for your kind words on my blip yesterday, 'Where Light Dies'.
My heart is in a very dark place. It was difficult for me to even think of photographing a flower today. But I'll dedicate theses little Violets to those whose lives were so violently taken from them.
And, as always, thanks to Anni BikerBear for continuing to host FlowerFridays!
