Indoor Cycling at the Velodrome

We started the day with our usual Saturday morning rowing and yoga/Pilates session, followed by our pub breakfast. After a quick stop at home to rest/read the paper, loaded back up in to the car with the requisite equipment. We were on the cycling track for 90 minutes, learning stops, starts, speed control and finally riding on the lowest slope on the track. It was super cool, scary, but cool. There are no brakes or gears, it is a direct drive chain. Team Canada was warming up on the bike trainers in the bottom right corner of the top photo, i am sure they found our lack of ability very entertaining. Now for a quiet night at home watching Olympics & cuddling, how happy are we? Resting up for my coverage of a morning yoga class tomorriw morning and our 2nd class on the velodrome track. Never a dull moment around here....
