Cranes, so many cranes!

The weather seemed to cooperate so P. and me went to Bellevue, MI to watch the cranes fly in. At first we were a little appehensive - but a bit after 6 when the sun started to set they came flying in. Hundreds, maybe thousands of big, croaky, beautiful cranes. The sound was incredible. I stood, with my mouth wide open and my head shaking - such an amazing, awesome sight.

I may have gotten a little weepy even.

None of my photos do it any justice by themselves, but all together it gives a bit of a sense of how it was. Unbelievable.
