Folding the Pages

Into Edinburgh today, by train, to meet friends for lunch. We went early intending to go to see the exhibitions at Stills. Coffee first at the Fruitmarket Gallery where the Artists’ Bookmarket was in full swing. When we got to Stills the Bookmarket was happening there too. This made it tricky to see the exhibited photographs but I didn’t mind. The artists were all so interesting. And talented. In the basement this workshop called Folding the Pages was taking place. The pages of old paperbacks were being turned into works of art. The extra shows the participants’ busy hands at work.

A quick walk out to South Clerk Street for an enormous lunch at Cafe de la Poste. Then coffee at our friends’ lovely house in Newington. A lift to the station, a hop aboard the Inverness train and home before it was dark.
