A friend kindly offered to take me to the Warley Model Railway Club open day. I’d never been there before, so we were very taken aback to find all the nearby streets full of parked cars. This was an open day, not an exhibition, so we weren’t expecting to find such crowds. Warley MRC organises a huge annual exhibition at the NEC, so perhaps we shouldn’t have been surprised. The club house is quite a large industrial unit, with not only a ground floor, but two mezzanines as well. There were a fantastic number of layouts on display, and the bottom photo shows only about one third of the entire area. A very enjoyable morning, but after an hour and a half I was exhausted, and spent most of the rest of the day resting at home.
PS: I don’t understand the presence of the cow on the platform in the second extra!
