Potty

A dark damp day, so I have resorted to an indoor blip, gathering together some of the clutter in my home.
I made some of these fabric coil pots at the WI college a couple of years ago and others I have made since. They are a great way of using up the inevitable stash of bits of fabric that we accumulate. The fabrics are wound round plastic covered wire (a bit like washing line) and this is then stitched in a coil. We started with the little hand stitched ones and then went onto the bigger versions which are made on the sewing machine.
Our tutor was Helen Deighan a prize winning quilter who has a wide range of interesting fabric based crafts to share.
