Silhouette cat

I was out at the front gate, taking photos of fallen beech nuts and puddles, not very successfully. As always Coco needed to know what was going on and offer advice. She soon decided that the puddles were too cold and wet and the vantage of the silver birch tree was a better bet.

Normous is out to lunch today with two friends that he knew in the church youth club sixty years ago. He was at primary school with one of them even longer ago than that! They are lunching at the pub where they first used to drink together as a group of boys, brown ales I am told. The pub has changed out of all recognition, no longer the small local with two separate bars, but a much extended eating establishment belonging to a chain. Times change, but fortunately friendships don't.
