Berry Brioche

Berries, brioche scone, jam, cream and a pot of Earl Grey tea made for a deliciously indulgent treat as I met with a friend today at my village cafe The Bow Window.

There’s something wonderfully encouraging about a friend who chooses to indulge with you, listens to your work woes and replies with helpful suggestions. Always helpful when one’s friend is a former executive assistant!

Over our berry delight we got philosophical on our outlooks on life and how to always remember there are always others worse off no matter how tough things get.

As for the berry indulgence... I blame the rain and grey weather! One has to create one’s own sunshine after all and that’s something my village cafe manages to do rather well.
