What happened to winter?

It seems that because it was such a mild winter, it almost feels as if it didn’t happen. Today thermostat soared to 78 degrees.
It’s so honored to have it be this warm and still be February.

There are no flowers blooming yet. There are no leaves on the trees yet. Even the grass is muddy from the recently melted snow. I was driving and the sun was beating down on me when I pulled up to a traffic light and was instantly shaded by these huge pine trees. It made me grateful for these big evergreens and I snapped a picture before the light turned green.
