Eileen

A long day; we left Sibford and collected my brother at Banbury station on our way to Eileen's funeral in Towcester. It was a sad occasion but lovely to spend a couple of hours with my bro and numerous cousins/cousins-by-marriage/cousins once or twice removed. It was strange indeed to be back in the Saracen's Head - Eileen should have been there dammit.

Set off back north, not forgetting to drop M back at Banbury station en route, but only as far as the hotel at Tebay services since I'd guessed (correctly) that we wouldn't be able to make it home in a one-er.
Have stopped at the services many times but never stayed at the hotel - it was great, both the accomodation and the food. We were finally able to raise our glasses to Eileen. Again, I'd forgotten to take any photos during the day.
