jumping through hoops...

...is what the bees do in pursuit of nectar overload  (but not this morning when it is cool and they are no doubt still snoring in a hive somewhere.)

But also across the line as the Grevillea is a diverse genus of evergreen flowering plants in the genus Proteaceae native to the forests east of the Wallace Line.

And who you may ask was Wallace?
Well Alfred Russel Wallace was as inquisitive as Charles Darwin but way back there in the shadows even though they jointly published the theory of evolution by natural selection  in 1858.

He was quite the dude as a biogeographer and field biologist  and much more.
The Wallace Line is a transitional line between Asian and Australia fauna and flora through the Lombok Strait between Bali and Lombok.
In brief parrots and marsupials on one side and not on the other! and some flora too including the grevillea.

On the bucket list is to visit Lombok and to cross the Wallace Line between Bali and Lombok.
