Plus ça change...

Be prepared

In a frenzy of doing all the things I promised Mr B "don't worry, I'll take care of it" (he's due back tomorrow), today was busy.

Sorting out the kids' skiwear revealed that TallGirl has grown in all directions since we last skied and can no longer be squeezed into boys age 13 ski pants. So they, logically enough, have been handed on to the resident 13 year old boy - but only after some pocket emptying revealed TallGirl's secret emergency mountain kit. Whistle, lipsalve, plasters, bandage (long enough to be a sling if necessary), fresh wipes (?), Calpol for pain, and she said there would normally be sachets of sugar, but she took those out in case mice found them.

Am definitely sticking close to TG on the slopes.

So, a trip to the always disappointing Decathlon - where they only ever seem to have sizes XS and 3XL in stock. TG is happy with her blindingly white troos only because they are not the pink ones (she wouldn't try the men's ones which were - of course - available in the full range of sizes).

Later, basketball for CarbBoy, lots of shopping for me, including getting my hands on more pellets for the stoves (the stores seem to have been caught out by the forecast big freeze), and a big fight with a client. Probably an ex-client now, I'd say.

Just gives me more time for the garden! (And for clients who pay their bills, grumble grumble.)
