Life, not as we see it.

Day 10 (25/02) Marurai to Coimbiatore.

Look back: We dined on the rooftop last night and whilst sitting on our own, we were invited to join a group of youngsters at the adjacent table. They were, supposedly, local film makers – mainly pop videos, and a couple of the girls were a wee bit squiffy (boys not drinking, but having a great laugh) They were all very interested in us, where we came from and why we were there. They were also very open about their lives and loves. One girl's boyfriend, the father of her 8yo daughter, died in a motorcycle accident. She declared she would never marry, just live a free life. Interesting.

Relaxed start today, departing Madurai at 09:00 for Coimbatore.  Quick visit to the chaotic local flower market followed by 5 hours drive on a mix of dual carriageway and very, very narrow country roads.
Sunday is washday, it would appear - see Extra.
Batteries (3) running out on my camera and I had left my charger at home. Fxxk! So not too many shots taken. However, when we arrived at our hotel, lo and behold a Nikon shop directly opposite. Unfortunately, or in fact fortunately, they were out of stock of that charger, but sent us next door where a Non Original item was purchased for the princely sum of £7.00 Saved!

Heading out 5 pm for some more Temple bagging. Watch this space, although I may spare you if nothing Spectacular emerges.
