The inevitable Winter collage!

London (looks much better in “large”)

A quiet Sunday enjoying the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, using the occasion to eat up the last of the Christmas goodies (see extra). And a day of resting up after yesterday’s adventure (survived the day, just feeling very weary and achy), playing with my photos from London. So today you have the inevitable collage!

And just as a record of yesterday, so that when I forget I can look back and remember...

Left home at 8am -2℃, train from local station to London, changing at Bristol Parkway (a longer route than normal, but much cheaper). Arrived London on a stunning blue sky day but such a bitter wind blowing! Bus from Paddington, by 11am at Tate Britain to view “Impressionists in London” exhibition and a quick look at the Pre-Raphaelites gallery. Lunch in the Tate Members’ Room then another bus ride (only one stop due to diversion!) and a walk along the Thames, past The Houses of Parliament to Westminster Abbey for Choral Evensong. Sat in the quire stalls, right next to the choir, a powerful and moving service in a magnificent setting. Bus back to Lancaster Gate, walk through Paddington to the station, stopping off en route for the tastiest plate of salty chips! Train home, changing at Bristol Parkway, home by 8pm. A long day, but a lovely day...
