Almost………..

……………...…..Cuddly

This fluffy bumblebee put in an appearance in my garden this afternoon, looking slightly damp from this morning’s rain.

In New Zealand we have four species of bumblebees. These were introduced from England as early as 1885 specifically to assist with the pollination of red clover. Nowadays bumblebees pollinate a variety of plants.

For easy to read and extremely fascinating information take a look at this NZ Bumblebee Conservation Trust website.

Thank you for the comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s tranquil evening scene at the local marina.  It seems that the balmy weather of yesterday came to an end with overnight rain and cooler temperatures once the sun appeared this afternoon - a definite feel of autumn!
