Glasses at O Gato

Just lost a long entry and desperate for bed...will try again...

To Mora (old stomping ground) today for an Alentejo team meeting, four hours driving, but lots of Bia's yummy pizza (see extra).

Best was that it started raining. But drier and drier on way home. The drought is desperate, they reckon what's left of the Lake would last another two years, but we've had practically no rain since last Spring, and not a lot then.

Anyway, went into O Gato in Reguengos on way home because I really fancied a garlicky steak - Sandra, the waitress, was bemused that that was all we wanted, and one between the two of us. Really hit the spot, as did the shot of bagaceira (wine brandy) she brought to kill the bugs trying to take over my throat.

And then, when we emerged, it had started raining - gently, but definitely wet. Long may it continue...
