Skiing home into the sunset

Took the bus to Toto aara and slogged up to the viewpoint on Iso Totovaara. It always takes longer to climb up there than I expect, but the view never disappoints.

Then down to Villenkampa, up to Tammitupa, across to Karhukota and back via Hangaskuru and the Kotamaja track. This wasn’t the most direct route home, but took in some of our favourite places.

We took ages, and we were chasing the sunset home. The snow got faster and harder as it got darker. However, we were treated to one of the best sunsets I’ve seen in a while. A long, tiring and lovely day.
