What a Character

What a great day we have had.....we are in the Catlins, nicely settled into very large premises - two kitchens, two lounges and numerous bedrooms.  Almost on the beach, but not quite.
Unfortunately the weather hasn't been the greatest, light rain at times, no wind and still warm.  Good for photography.
We have tracked down two groups of riders in different places.....everyone is so friendly and welcoming of lenses put in their space.  I
I've chosen this chap, just loved his gnarly face and he was very accommodating for a picture,  The background is the grey sky which gives a nice high key look.
In extra I have put part of the cavalcade coming down the hill and heading for their woolshed close by for the night.
There are seven groups all in various parts of the area and will meet up at Owaka for the big parade on Saturday.  Walking, biking, riding, small wagons, large covered wagons are some of the groups. Some 500 plus participants.
Tomorrow we are hunting out the covered wagons.   And hope to find some birds to satisfy our photography needs. :)
Take a look at oldTimer's entry

The six of us are all jaded and heading off the bed shortly.
