Henley Street

For any sensible person, today was a day for lighting the fire, or turning the heating up, hunkering down and safely watch the weather from inside.

But we have a duty, regardless of Beast from the East and Storm Emma, we had to make sure Cafe Nero stayed in business.  So attaching our crampons and dressing in our arctic gear we ventured forth to walk into town for a coffee.  Which although a little uncomfortable whilst the gusts were blowing snow into our faces was actually not too bad.  Having said that I decided not to walk home, as Ann did, but catch the bus.

That was the highlight of our day; it's still snowing and is forecast for all of tomorrow too, whether we'll get out for coffee then, who knows?

As I was leaving Nero to catch the bus I took a couple of photos showing a wintry Henley Street, mainly empty of tourists who had the sense to move indoors.
