frozen

We woke to a picturesque Narnia-like wonderland, a fresh coating of snow over everything and gleams of slanting sunshine. Very pretty but bitterly cold. 
Still on red alert with the whole county closed and the supermarket shelves half empty, but no blizzard yet. I must admit to a frisson of disappointment. 
But maybe tomorrow we'll find ourselves deep in snowdrifts ... 

Meanwhile it's cosy and snug indoors. I have got on great with various quilting projects, in between watching the snipe and fieldfares that came to feed just outside the window.
