Wintry stormy weather

This is the 'Beast from the East' as seen from inside the distillery.

This was Wednesday, an eventful day. I woke up in the morning to horrible weather. I had to take the bus to work but there were no buses. There was nobody working that day that travelled from Anstruther, so Scott volunteered to take me there. 

Once at the distillery, as the storm was getting worse, we decided to close the distillery until further notice due to the bad condition of the roads and the bad weather and phoned all the bookings we had to inform them.  Had to wait for a little bit at the distillery until Scott could come back to pick me up as there was nobody at the distillery who could give me a lift. On the way back, though, we had a wee accident. Scott's car started to wobble somewhere between Crail and Anstruther and it skidded out of control till it finally crashed against a small road dyke. We had to leave the car there and, somehow, get back to Anstruther. Luckily, a man driving a van gave us a lift home. We were fine, the car wasn't...

It took Scott ages to get hold of the insurance company and get someone to pick up the car, as they had been extremely busy with lots of road accidents. Hope the car can be fixed...

We didn't do much for the rest of the day, as the weather was awful outside.
