Woodland walk

Went over to my old home town of Woking today to the Sandpits area of Horsell Common (HG Wells War of the Worlds). A place I've not been to for many years and somewhere that holds a lot of memories for me/

LandscapeGirl came of course to see if we could get out into the countryside together before all of the snow disappears.

The common is nicer than I remember ( I just looked at it through younger eyes then) and has many paths that criss cross the area and could provide a great place to get the hang of woodland photography. I'll include one attempt in extras and another that shows part of the sand the gives the area its name.

Would have been cracking to go over there with fresh snow on the ground. One for the memory banks.
