Raising their heads

Notably milder this morning, grey with rain on and off. Most of the ice on the pond has thawed now, it was at least an inch thick!

Popped into the garden to have a quick look around, one or two plants looking a bit black from the frost and snow, but most are now lifting themselves skyward and hopefully towards a bit of warmth......these little snowdrops and the tete a tetes in the wall planters looking much happier today.

We got out for a quick walk for the papers, back the longer way, but didnt take very long.
Tomatoes on toast for lunch followed by a frothy coffee.

The rest of the day has been spent clearing out "stuff" no longer needed from some of the drawers in our bedroom, in readiness for our new bedroom furniture, changed our bed linen, did some laundry and cooked a chicken sunday roast :-) Now ready to settle down to,watch Country File, Strike and Himeland :-)

Youngest is doing well following his hospital stay, but they have decided not to go to the Elbow concert in Manchester tonight just in case anything flares up....pity, it just came to soon :-(.They couldn't even give their tickets away as they are for a "disabled person and carer".......there is always next time.

Our Southapton family made it for the chinese meal last night, they all had a great time......hopefully we are going to go there when we finally get doen there :-)
