Ugly?

'Ugly' is today's Mono Monday challenge.  The road verges are ugly at the moment, with banks of dirty snow piled up and passing traffic spraying salty slush on to them.  The weather is ugly - dull and foggy.  The prospect of a long session at the dentist - my mood was a little bit ugly too.

But the rear end of a gritter - that to me is a beautiful sight!  This one preceded us along the road to Hawick, and very grateful we are for all the hard work going on to get the roads cleared and safe to drive on.
