Engaging Strangers

It was some day in January 2015; we were finishing our dinner and this cigar smoking chap tapped me on the shoulder to apologize for lighting up a cigar without asking if it was okay.  Murray & Kim were just finishing their dinner too; we started to chat and before I knew it I was photographing them on the beach with their horses, and then photographing the wake ride when Kim was tragically killed in a horse accident later in the year, and then photographing the anniversary event a year later, and then photographing more rides with family members.  Kim has been gone about 2 1/2 years now; today would have been her birthday.  Murray has become a good friend.

This street blipping business has brought me into contact with hundreds of strangers,  and many of these have become friends.  Strangers are just friends you have not met yet.  As I walked our little Mexican town day, I met a few more of these friends - see the extras.

So a little tequila today to celebrate this five year milestone and all the new friends I have made along the way.  Cheers.
