Slimbridge Avocet

What a thoroughly enjoyable day.

I met with Taffydil and we drove to Slimbridge Wetland Centre, where we joined Hildasrose and SHH for lunch. Sadly there were a few other Blippers missing but we hope to catch up with them later in the year. Thank you to you Hildasrose for organising such a great day. It was lovely to catch up :)

Having never seen an Avocet, I was thrilled to see lots today, along with a huge assortment of the most beautiful ducks and geese. 

Taffydil and I were meant to be going to camera club later but as we didn't leave Slimbridge until gone 5 and then went 'sunset chasing', we didn't get back to her house until 8pm!  

It was worth it :)
