Callanish IV Stone Circle

Out of the house by 6.15am, we took the ferry across to the Isle of Harris. Our first port of call was Luskentyre beach, which we had completely to ourselves and I've added a picture of as an Extra.

We then made our way gradually around the island and on up to Lewis. Taking a small road skirting the Callanish Stones, as we'd seen them before, we stumbled upon these outliers. Five beautiful standing stones in an elliptical ring, at the top of a small hill overlooking the larger stone circle.

A truly magical day for both us and the dogs.
