Dinner Group ...

... at Au Trou Gascon in the 12th arrondissement. We were treated by our friends Ann and Charley (left and right) visiting from London; Charley's nephew William joined us. He's an environmental biologist who has just moved from Singapore to OECD in Paris; he's getting married next month in Mauritius. Two things during the day: 1) the Marmottan Museum for an exhibition on Corot portraits. They're not a large portion of Corot's (1796-1875) work, but the show was interesting and well displayed. 2) More unconventionally, we went to the Pavillon de l'Eau (the center for the Paris water supply) for two exhibitions: one on Paris's water, and the other on the large marsh area in Mesopotamia (Iraq) which has be severely deprived of water in recent decades.
