Reffley ancient oak

The Oak tree on the right is a joy to visit. It's listed (along with its neighbouring sister not seen here, but not a third neighbouring sister as there's not much left of her) on the woodland trusts list of trees of special interest. These trees used to mark the boundaries of the town (I may read up and change that as I think it was a more specific boundary marker) and more importantly for us, they are the destination near the end of a loop walk around Reffley woods, the last sister, this one, being the children's favourite as they can climb inside her. I enjoy hearing the love they have for this tree, which they make clear to me when they talk to and about her.
