One of the absurd aphorisms in the new shopping centre, designed, presumably, to make us think we're special by shopping there.

It was full today of women at work, paid and unpaid: doing the food shop, looking after children, serving crepes, selling shoes, looking out for each other, being normal and individual.

And quite a lot of men doing much the same.

Happy women's day, all. I thought we needed another one so I've co-opted it. Some of us get another one on Sunday too.
