Arrivals Hall, Gatwick South

An early visit to the dentist to see to a tooth that had broken on our last day in San Marcos. I was expecting the worst with injections and a large filling but it turned out that a little bit of smoothing and some polyfilla was all that was needed. It’s curtains for that tooth though as next time it’ll have to go and be replaced by a bridge or suchlike.

Spent the remainder of the morning just doing things. We did order new cooker and hob and I spent an extraordinary amount of time on Vodafone trying to sort out my online account and unpaid bills owing to a fault on my account which they said they had fixed in December.

We had an early lunch as we were expecting to be at Gatwick to collect Doreen from the Edinburgh flight. Instead of getting in at 13.40 it finally arrived at 15.05 owing to a medical emergency on the previous flight. We’d tracked the flight, timing our arrival to the second as they came out into the arrivals hall at 15.40. It was a bit tight for Barbara who was flying back to Edinburgh at 17.00 but she made it. We got caught in the rush hour traffic on the M25 with the return journey taking twice as long as the outward trip.
