The community garden

A bonus about where I live is this garden. The developer has gifted it and employed a vibrant young woman for 20 hours per week to get it up and running.

She's done a grand job in the 4000 square metre plot and we have now have some veges ready for residents. Yesterday I whipped up a zucchini slice and a salad using the green beans, and had eggs on silver beet.

Eventually there will be opportunities for residents to weed and help with other tasks. I think I'm helping move manure from a local farm in the next week or so.

Knowing the garden is there will shape what I decide to grow at home. And yes, look hard and you'll see the scare crow :-)

Today's gratitude: For the garden and the pleasure it brings so many of us.
