Hauled out

After the Easterly gales of storm Emma, we went for a walk at the East Sands of Leith to see if any wrecked seabirds had washed ashore.
Quite a relief that we only found two dead 1st winter guillemots, duly recorded.
A real delight to see a few Common seal hauled out on the Eastern Craigs of the Black Rocks just off-shore.
Also nice to see a pair of stock dove.
Definitely not pleasant was to see a new pile of discarded tyres where we had spent a hot afternoon clearing the shore. There are some clarty gits about :(
