Latvian lady

A colleague and I went to Oban High School at lunchtime today to meet one of the Youth Learning Team and supposedly a group of young schoolgirls who wanted to start a new project in Oban. A few of them eventually turned up, eating their lunch and playing on their phones or talking among themselves, and most didn't have much to say, or any ideas to put forward. One of them seemed a little more enthusiastic than the others, but they mostly drifted away and I felt that the meeting served little purpose. At least we picked up some rubbish in the corridor on our way out so the time wasn't totally wasted!

So I walked home, putting some posters out for our 'Oban Spring Clean' on the way and getting a bit depressed about the litter and rubbish everywhere.  I saw only one Tesco trolley in the Black Lynn today, and one on the bank, so that wasn't too bad.

Had a chat with couple of friends and then spotted this cargo ship turning round in front of the cathedral. You don't often see a ship of this type close in - she was Liva Greta, a Latvian-registered vessel. She seems to be a bit down at the stern!
