The approaching end of a Landmark.

We went to Madeley, near Ironbridge today, to pick up an 1100cc Suzuki engine, that my mate Geoff had stripped, checked and rebuilt for me. ( Far too many parts inside for me, compared to a Triumph ! ).
On the way home, we stopped at Buildwas power station, that is due to be demolished, because it's coal fired and not "green" enough, by todays standards. It was built in the 1960s and can you imagine the skill of the bricklayers, who did the work ?
I'm sure that it will be missed --- not for the power that it produced --- but because of its iconic shape. More houses ?
