If you can't beat them...

Wendy's Gold

Thursday so I was visiting Kanyl.  A local garden centre was having an "event" so we spent an hour or two up there.  Before setting off I remembered a flower in his garden I had never blipped.

Kanyl is a bit of a "Galanthophile" and has a small but growing collection of them (Snowdrops).  This one is Galanthus plicatusWendy's Gold.  The common Snowdrop is G nivalis.  This species is native to the Black Sea region and has been bred to produce the yellow ovary and the inner petals are marked with Yellowish Green.
