Debris

All sorts of wasps, flies and butterflies get trapped between the outer shell and the interior shade fabric in my greenhouse. I regret the yellow admirals. This shot was taken through the polythene.

Great news on the mantis front. The damaged nymph I found on the bathroom window a month ago has become an adult!  See extra shot. I haven’t seen him for a couple of weeks and thought he was gone for good, but he has been busy it appears. The damage on his thorax was not skin deep, but has remained after he has shed his skin. He still looks rather pathetic, with puckered wings under the wing cases, and he is a lot smaller than a normal male adult. Still, he has survived this far. Let’s hope he is capable of manning up to the females around him.
