Sunshine (occasional)

...plus heavy showers (also occasional, thank goodness). This blip pretty much sums it up, through the branches of an Amelanchier that the garden design bloke said I have to keep.

A day of positive sorting out: the oil delivery man (we had a week's supply left LH told me - yesterday) and water supply fixer man encountered each other on our narrow, rough track at 7 am. So I've absolutely no complaints about hanging around, waiting for people to turn up. They might be less happy though as one of them (don't know which) had to reverse quite a distance.

Anyway, we now have oil and we now (much more importantly) have water, which is a massive relief. Accrued sediment had blocked the pipe (after he'd blown it through to shift things it looked like we had an oil well - thick, black gunk). He was a really helpful, obliging chap and when I got his card I felt he was in absolutely the right job: his name is Mr Gallon :-D

The rest of the day has been housekeeping, hoovering and the like, including prepping the spare room for LD and LF. Can't wait to see them - we have much to discuss!
